From Mr. India to global recognition
Born in Gurdaspur, Punjab, Varinder rose to fame after winning the Mr. India title in 2009 and finishing second in Mr. Asia. Known as the world’s first vegetarian professional bodybuilder, he made history as the first Indian to earn an IFBB pro card. His achievements also caught the attention of Arnold Schwarzenegger, who appointed him as a brand ambassador to promote health products in Asia.
A journey into films
Varinder made his Punjabi film debut in 2012 with Kabaddi Once Again and later appeared in Hindi films including Roar: Tigers of the Sundarbans (2014), Marjaavaan (2019), and Tiger 3 (2023).
